For Iron Ridge Village Trustee
While the political issues of the day may not often mix with the day-to-day dealings of an Iron Ridge Trustee, you need to know where ANY elected official stands. That said, I am a conservative, a Christian, and a patriot who firmly believes in our Constitution, as it was originally intended. We are one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all. EVERY individual deserves respect, and has the right to enjoy a life of liberty and freedom. I pledge to uphold those rights and defend that freedom to the greatest extent of my ability and authority as an Iron Ridge Trustee.
There is something special about Iron Ridge. There is a rich history, people who are committed to each other and their community, and potential for a bright future. We have a lot to be proud of here.
Katie (my wife) and I have lived a lot of life here in Iron Ridge. We were drawn to Iron Ridge and moved here in 2003, with our two young daughters. Our son was born in 2004. We purchased and renovated the vacant Herman Mutual Insurance building (by the post office). In addition to many gatherings of fellow Iron Ridgians and other friends, we started Tabitha’s Closet (a resale shop and food pantry), caroled door-to-door at Christmas time, hosted several open Thanksgiving dinners at the Village Hall, and I served two terms as Village Trustee. We made Iron Ridge our home, made many friends, and in some small way I hope we had a positive influence. In 2014 we moved away, following a job opportunity in another state. Then, in June of 2023 with all our kids now adults, our hearts have drawn us back to the Village. Iron Ridge is home, and we intend to continue our efforts toward making our home a better place for all of us.
Being a Village Trustee means exactly that… having YOUR TRUST to make decisions, and maintain life in Iron Ridge with integrity, morality, and an eye toward a better, brighter future. In summary, making what we have the best it can be.
Iron Ridge is more than just people, roads, utilities and ordinances. It’s a tight knit community filled with a rich mix of families, relationships, lifestyles, beliefs, and dreams. Our Village should be a place of freedom and liberty where all live together peacefully, feel encouraged in reaching their life’s aspirations, and can be secure in just living life…as it has been, or maybe a little better.
